Immediately upon arriving in the world I realized that I had forgotten how to chat, so i alt-tabbed out and read over how this was done form the logs of March 27th. By the time i got back - Savant was on screen. We grouped up and he started taking me on a quick tour of the town.
We first met up with Frederick since he was close by when we logged in. After clicking on Fredrick, he calmly replied in voice "So you wanted my help?". A message box popped up along with some text asking us the be the first ones to return items from a scavenger hunt. He also mentioned to go and see Edgar for more information. Apparently, Fredrick was the quest giver for our class.
Savent began to walk towards the south and met up with a blacksmith named Beef. He had a deep humorous voice asking "You saya my name?". Savant stated that the voice had originally been his own before he altered it. Beef performs repairs and upgrades to your equipment.
We journied to the shop next door and found Angela standing outside offering her wares. Our ears did not take too kindly to her screaching voice, but we stayed to observe further into the type of wares she had offered. Miscellaneous items such as health and spirit potions were being sold along with a book about the secrets of civilization. After purchasing a few healing potions, we were on our way to the next townsperson.
The next stop was with Noel, who wanted to sell me various types of armor. As expected, there was your common assortment of shirts, leather jackets, scale jackets, and such. What got my attention at this point was the level of detail on the artwork of items. Hundreds of polygons simply don't compare to a well drawn sprite. I bought a Scale Jacket and put it on. The inventory interface could be a little more forgiving about getting stuff in the right slots, but I'm sure this will be made more user friendly sometime through Beta.
Next up was a visit with Lucy. Lucy is the quest giver for another class, probably the Chakra's. Her attire is rather forthcoming, and her voice is quite seductive. Later I found out that she offers training to the appropriate class.
